Past Events - 2013-2014

October 12th, 2013.  Dr. Gerald Kugel shared dental composite theory and application in the new state-of-the-art University of New England College of Dental Medicine pre-clinical lab.  Participants learned the newest knowledge of dental adhesives, flowables, liners, and packables and then put the knowledge to practice.  ME AGD hopes to continue a close tie with UNE CDM for future courses.  Stay tuned!

Febuary 28th-March 2nd, 2014.  Dr. Dan Armstrong provided a one-of-a-kind series of lectures that gave tips on comprehensive treatment planning, tips and tricks in the everyday practice, and a heart-felt talk on what his life of a dentist has brought him.  This latter section was extremely well received and will surely change how the audience will practice dentistry from a philosophical point of view.  After the evening and morning sessions, participants enjoyed the wonderful slopes of Sugarloaf!

March 22nd, 2014.  Gene St. Louis provided a continuation of her MDA talk (previous day) that outlined the important considerations regarding overhead issues in the general dental office.

April 10th, 2014.  ACLS for Dentists.  Southern Maine Community College.

Past Events - 2012-2013

December 15th, 2012 - Interactive Treatment Plan Session for Anterior Esthetics with Dr. Gerard Chiche.  This was an excellent hands-on course with a world-class esthetics guru.  Dr. Chiche brought casts, radiographs, and other relevant data in order to treatment plan tough cases as if it were in your office!  Each case emphasized several important concepts in treatment planning.

March 1st-2nd, 2012 - Annual "Learn at the Loaf".  Aside from Sluice and White Nitro (trails), presenter Scott McMillen reviewed his experiences from the side of laboratory dentistry.  From common errors in impressions to the current indications of ceramic dentistry, Mr. McMillen outlined how to be a better dentist with indirect dentistry.

April 27th, 2012 - Cranio-Mandibular Evaluation and Bite Splint Therapy - HANDS ON with Dr. Gary DeWood.  This hands-on course was a follow-up from the MDA lecture.  Concepts put into practice were evaluation of the TMJ complex and fabrication of an anterior deprogram device.
